Troy man pleads guilty in storage unit burglary case

MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man pleaded guilty to burglary relating to a storage unit burglary that happened in February. Michael Fox, 37, was arrested in March following an investigation. On February 14, New York State Police got a complaint about a storage unit in Malta that was broken into and had multiple items stolen. Through investigation, police identified Fox as a suspect and found he was one of a few that entered the storage facility without being authorized, broke the lock on the unit, and took items that weren’t his.Fox was later arrested on a warrant. He was taken from the Saratoga County Correctional Facility, where he was being held on unrelated matters, and processed at Saratoga State Police.According to the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office, Fox pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary. MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society launched a social media campaign in an effort to get one of their longtime residents, Scarlett, adopted. Scarlett arrived to the shelter in 2021 as a puppy when animal control found her in Troy. #ScarlettSundays for sheltered dog of 3 years Scarlett is believed to be a Mastiff Mix, and weighs about 85 pounds. She's described as energetic, but sensitive. She takes a couple meetings before she melts at your feet.Scarlett has lived at the shelter for almost three years.Scarlett has had two surgeries on her right back leg while she's been at the shelter. They're not sure if it was congenital or an injury, but she may need additional medical attention in the future. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man was arraigned Wednesday on a 13-count indictment charging that he distributed and possessed with intent to distribute several controlled substances, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). According to the DOJ, Morgan allegedly distributed cocaine and methamphetamine through 12 sales since August 2022. When he was arrested, he allegedly possessed and intended to sell additional quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as fentanyl.If convicted, Morgan also faces a fine of up to $1M and a term of supervised release from four years to life.City aldermen discussing water rate hike today

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis City board of aldermen will have its first real debate Thursday morning of the proposed legislation that would significantly raise the water bill for city residents. The board of aldermen will meet at the City Hall at 10:00 a.m. Among their agenda item perfecting board Bill 49 or the water rate bill. ST. LOUIS - Crews are at the scene of an accident the left a driver seriously injured Thursday morning. Our Nissan Rogue Runner reporter Nic Lopez was at the scene located on I-170 southbound at St. Charles Rock Road, where state troopers were blocking multiple lanes and are still investigating the scene.
