AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin Police said a man was stabbed on a Cap Metro bus Thursday night in south Austin. One person is in custody. According to APD, the stabbing was reported at 10:46 p.m. at South Congress Avenue and College Avenue. That is just north of Oltorf Street.According to Austin-Travis County EMS, paramedics took two patients to the hospital, one with serious injuries, the second with non-life threatening injuries. APD said one of the people taken to the hospital may have been the suspect in the incident. In April, Austin Police said a man was detained after stabbing a driver on a CapMetro bus in downtown Austin. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The scene at Austin-Bergstrom International airport on the first day of Memorial Day weekend could have been described as controlled chaos, with long lines at security checkpoints stretching outside of the terminal. The most shocking scene for many travelers Friday morning was how long the line was for TSA Pre-Check. Many travelers who have the green pre-check mark on their boarding pass, like Kirsten Chapton and her family, are accustomed to getting through security in a fast pace. Passenger growth at Austin’s airport is hitting forecasts five years ahead of schedule But the pre-check line was wrapping around outside the terminal. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The length of a given wildfire season is increasing for much of the country. The largest increase is occurring in the west, especially in the southwest during its increasingly hotter summers. Weather conditions with low humidity, extreme heat, and strong winds are all conducive for the spread of fire. A single day with all of these ingredients combined is considered a 'Fire Weather Day.' Our partners over at Climate Central looked at climate data at weather sites across much of the nation over the course of 50 years. What they found is that overall, 'Fire Weather Days' are increasing across the majority of the nation with an increase of +2 days for us here in Austin. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Early Sunday morning, Troopers in Wilton responded to the report of a wrong-way driver on the Northway in Saratoga Springs. They spotted a car in Wilton matching the description, driving northbound in the southbound lanes. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Troopers were able to stop the car before anyone got hurt. According to police reports, Kathryn G. Stuthmann, 24, of Hudson Falls was behind the wheel. She was arrested at the scene and taken back to the state police barracks in Wilton for processing. Stuthmann blew a 0.18% Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) at the barracks, police said. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and ticketed for her alleged wrong-way driving. Teen struck by car on Washington Avenue in Albany Stuthmann was released on an appearance ticket. LOUIS – A Tulsa businessman tells FOX 2 that he’s the victim of a St. Louis high-dollar jewelry heist.Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed more than $400,000 worth of watches were stolen from the man’s hotel room at the Embassy Suites near America’s Center in downtown St. Louis.“I’m going to be honest with you. ST. LOUIS – As Memorial Day weekend approaches, the U.S. Coast Guard has some safety tips and reminders for anyone planning to head out on the water."The river's always changing. Earlier this week, a yacht from Florida struck a chevron south of the McKinley Bridge and began to take on water. Two men were rescued.
