(KRON) -- A California driver said he feels thankful to be alive after his new Tesla veered off the road, accelerated, and crashed while in autopilot mode. "I was a proud Tesla owner a few months ago. I was certain that I had invested in a reliable and safe car, in a brand that pioneers the future. My faith was shaken though when autopilot went horribly wrong, leading to a harrowing event," Seneca Musoka wrote on LinkedIn. Musoka originally planned to buy a Tesla Model X as his "dream car," but the model's price tag was too high. He settled for a Tesla Model 3.Musoka said he went on an "ordinary" drive in his new car and listened to music. His Tesla Model 3 hummed in autopilot mode. "But in a blink, it all went sideways -- quite literally. My Tesla abruptly veered off the road. It wasn't just a slight drift or a wrong turn. My car sped up with an unnerving suddenness, the acceleration was immediate. Before I could process what was happening, the car was hurtling down an em...Bay Area police chief explains how thieves use tech to steal Dodge, Jeep cars

(KRON) -- Three people were arrested for attempting to steal a car in Oakley on Tuesday, the city's police department said. The police chief said thieves are using technology to steal certain kinds of cars, and this kind of theft is becoming more common. "I would not normally put such specific information out regarding the tactics and tools thieves use to steal because I do not want to be part of the 'criminal education program,'" OPD Chief Paul Beard said. "This issue however, has become such a problem that I want potential victims to be aware of how vulnerable they are to this kind of theft." The theft occurred on the 200 block of Yellow Rose Circle at about 6:10 p.m., the Oakley Police Department said. The victim interrupted the theft and followed the suspects, helping police catch them. OPD said the victim's car window was broken, and the suspects may have wanted it for its engine. Welcome to Declassified, a weekly humor column. An entirely plastic figure with no obvious genitalia and a blank expression who lives in a fabricated world … but enough about Donald Trump, let’s talk about Barbie.Anything as popular as the Barbie movie has to get political, and that is what’s happened. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak tweeted that his family had chosen “Barbie” ahead of the other big cinema release, “Oppenheimer.” To be fair, Sunak has young daughters and the codes to actual nuclear weapons, so it was always likely to be “Barbie” that he chose to see first. Hopefully, Sunak’s children haven’t seen the posters that have been popping up in London that cast senior members of the Conservative Party as characters in the Barbie film alongside attacks on their positions on immigration and a variation on the hashtag “ThisBarbieIs…” that ends with a word beginning with C that isn’t exa...Latest news
