At least one Los Angeles Police Department officer opened fire in Watts Friday morning.A few minutes before 8 a.m., police confirmed an officer-involved shooting in the 2100 block of East 103rd Street, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.The LAPD later confirmed that the shooting occurred at 6:42 a.m.Police have not released any details about the person at whom police were shooting, whether that person was struck and, if so, the extent of their wounds, but more information is expected soon, as an LAPD spokesperson is headed to the scene.Luis Zuniga contributed to this report.Check back for updates to this developing story.Sam Asghari speaks out about split from Britney Spears

Following his bombshell divorce announcement, the soon-to-be former husband of Britney Spears is speaking out. 63-Year-Old Man Dead after Being Struck by Impaired Driver on Buckeye RoadPHOENIX, AZ (August 17, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a multi-vehicle DUI accident killed Fermin Ruiz Gutierrez, police said.On August 12th, at around 3:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of 51st Avenue and Buckeye Road following a DUI incident.According to the Phoenix police, at least three vehicles were involved and two of them were driven by 63-year-old Gutierrez, and the suspect, 28-year-old Alejandro Carrillo.Furthermore, Carrillo struck the vehicle of Gutierrez and slammed into another vehicle that was also stopped at the intersection.Consequently, first responders arrived at the scene and were met with Gutierrez suffering from heavy injuries.Gutierrez eventually died due to the extent of his injuries at the scene.No further information about the fatal crash on 51st Street has been released at this time. MARTINEZ — Law enforcement officers shot and killed a man after responding to a burglary call at a cannabis dispensary early Friday, sources told the Bay Area News Group. Martinez police and Contra Costa Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Velvet cannabis dispensary in the 4800 block of Sunrise Drive, near Pacheco Boulevard, before sunrise. Sources said they were called there on a burglary call at the dispensary.The Contra Costa Fire Protection District also responded. Fire district spokesperson Capt. George Laing said three ambulances and two fire engines responded to the scene at 3:30 a.m. and that two adults were taken by ambulance to a hospital.No other information was immediately available.This is a developing report. (BCN) -- San Jose police are looking for a missing 22-year-old man who recently graduated from Cornell University and relocated to the Bay Area after being hired by Netflix to work as a software engineer. Yohanes S. Kidane was last seen at about 7:15 p.m. Monday as he entered an Uber vehicle at 28 N. 4th St., in San Jose. Antioch and Pittsburg police officers arrested by FBI Kidane was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a black hoodie and black shoes. His cell phone, wallet and backpack have been recovered near the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center in San Francisco, which is located just south of the bridge. His phone's location was at the Golden Gate Bridge for all of Monday evening. Kidane moved to San Jose two weeks ago to work at Netflix, where he was recently hired as a software engineer. He is 22 years old, Black, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
